Weihua made 6 sets 5 ton overhead cranes for an Aluminum plant in Yunnan Province, China. These Aluminum workshop cranes are used to serve the 900,000-ton green hydropower aluminum integration project. Recently, the erection of cranes was finished and the cranes are going to working for the project.

Project & Application Introduction

There are total 6 sets of model CLE and PTM multi-functional overhead cranes for this Electrolytic Aluminum Workshop project. The cranes are for pre-baked electrolytic aluminum production, which can complete Aluminum charging precisely. The double trolley linkage operation design can realize the lifting of anode busbar frame and the upper structure of the electrolytic cell, which greatly improves production efficiency.

Features of Weihua Aluminum Workshop Overhead Crane

  • Double-Girder & Double-Trolley Design – The overhead crane adopts double-girder and double-trolley structure, which is composed of bridge girders, trolley traveling mechanism, 32/5t trolley, 32t trolley, electric drive and control system.

  • High Girders to Increase Hook Upper Limit – The crane girders are elevated, which greatly increases the upper limit of the hook, and makes it easy to lift and transport aluminum ladle. The end carriage connection ensures the rigidity of the bridge structure, and the connection is reliable and convenient for transportation.

  • Frequency Control – The frequency conversion speed control of the traveling mechanism of the trolley is simple and easy to maintain, ensuring stable braking and the driving wheel does not slip. The horizontal wheel is set to reduce the lateral movement of crane traveling.

  • Compact Hoisting Mechanism – The hoisting mechanism adopts a compact arrangement and a hardened surface gears to greatly expand the lifting range of the hook.

  • High Speed Double Brake + Low Speed Safety Brake – In addition to the high-speed shaft double brake, a low-speed safety brake is also installed on the drum. In case the control system detects that the drum stall has fallen, the safety brake will be activated for braking. The fixed pulley block and the wire rope connection are convenient for maintenance.

  • Double-Layer Structure Trolley – The trolley adopts a double-layer structure, and an insulation device is installed between the upper and lower trolleys, and the insulation is reliable. The upper limit of the hook is effectively improved.
