The Ship-to-Shore (STS) Container Crane is the core lifting equipment at the front of container terminals and plays a key role in the efficient operation of modern ports. It is designed for loading and unloading container ships, enabling seamless logistics transfer between vessels and terminals. The STS crane ensures containers can be safely and efficiently transferred from ship to shore or from shore to ship with high precision.

Structure & Working System

The metal structure of the STS crane features high strength and excellent stability, providing a solid foundation for safe operation even under heavy loads.

The crane is designed in strict compliance with international standards such as FEM, DIN, IEC, AWS, and GB, ensuring global quality and advanced performance.

The electrical control system adopts full digital AC frequency conversion and PLC control technology, enabling precise and flexible control of all mechanisms.

The lifting mechanism is capable of handling container loads from 35 tons to 65 tons, ensuring stable lifting of both loaded and empty containers. The trolley system enables accurate horizontal movement across the bridge for precise container positioning. The gantry traveling mechanism ensures stable movement along quay rails, meeting loading and unloading requirements at different ship positions. The tilting mechanism adjusts operating angles according to different vessel conditions for improved efficiency.

Key Components

The trolley assembly works as the core unit for container handling and operates in coordination with other systems for smooth performance. The tilting and cabin anti-collision protection system acts as a safety safeguard, quickly responding to abnormal situations such as container swing or cabin impact, preventing equipment damage and ensuring operational safety.

Additional auxiliary devices further enhance system reliability, operational convenience, and overall safety performance.
